we had a busy week last week. the kids competed in track, volleyball, basketball, softball and swimming. (well, the harbor kids didn't swim but the other schools did.) tiara took gold in the 400 meter! she and rocki played vball and bball with junior girls from boysville (san antonio) and the teams won gold in both sports. AND the harbor girls took gold in softball.
wednesday, aunt lori and i headed to georgia to pick up faith. i was excited that she seemed to remember me! it was an emotional trip.. very bitter sweet. faith has a wonderful family in georgia that love her and have taken great care of her. we are extremely grateful and appreciative of the sacrifices they've made over the last ten months and we hope they remain in our lives. we feel like we've gained family through all this.
faith is doing very well. she seems to be adjusting quickly. she's full of smiles and her laughter is contagious. i don't think tiara could be more excited to have a new baby sister. shae is undecided! LOL. one minute she's very sweet - this morning they had a tea party and played for quite awhile. shae was giving her coffee and cookies (pretend) and telling her to be careful that the coffee was hot. the next minute, she's jealous of the attention layla faith gets and she tells me she wants to be a baby again.
we've been enjoying a quiet weekend. we took the girls swimming yesterday. tonight, we're having dinner at mom & dad's. daniel is frying fish for dad - a treat for father's day.
