for those of you who may have missed the bulletin (the one we've neglected to post), we are renewing our foster certification so we can foster-to-adopt tiara. once we're certified, we've been told (by CPS) they will move her to our home. :-) i turned in an updated application (the 3rd one.. but who's counting?) a few weeks ago and we spent the last three days in pride training (again!). in hindsight, i'm happy for this second-go-round. we took a lot from it and made some great new friends.
we have a few more classes over the next few weeks and then the home study will be done once the baby is here.
i'm really REALLY hoping to bypass the 4th family-photo-scrapbook. *fingers crossed!*
no news on layla faith. i've been speaking to the GA attorney about once a week. monday, he told me that a social worker would be contacting katharine, our birth mother, to schedule a visit with her. as of thursday afternoon, katharine hadn't heard from the social worker. best scenario is that it gets done early next week. then, we have to wait for the attorney to receive the report, finish his paperwork, forward it to the interstate compact folks and then receive permission to pick her up. i feel like this process is sooo long.
we picked up tiara this afternoon. tomorrow, she and lori will be working on her science project while shae and i go to toby's happy day party.
recently, shae started saying, "i need poppysee." we couldn't for the life of us figure out what she was talking about until the other night. we were reading one of our favorite books (big words for little people) and there's a page that says, "hey! i need privacy!" both of us should've figured it out (we read the book enough) but we kept thinking ... poppy seeds??
