MLK Day

yesterday, tiara and i volunteered at the independence heights community health center, helping to paint a mural honoring the legacy of Dr. King and celebrating the election of President Obama. it was great fun and we're both proud to have been a part of it. we didn't stay to see it completed so we're anxious to take lori and shae out to see and take more pictures of the completed project.

while there, we bought two african baby boy dolls. the dolls had been donated to the Elders Institute of Wisdom. the ladies wrote stories about the dolls and then they were taken to a seamstress to have clothes made to go along with their stories. we adopted "kenya" and "kenyatta."
