2 years!

we're having shae's 2-yr pics taken this afternoon. where have 2 years gone?!

last night, lori and i laid out the party supplies on the dining room table so we could take inventory. when i carried shae down the stairs this morning, she looked left and said, "BUG!" i turned right, trying to keep her from getting a really good look -- so as not to break her heart when she found out she couldn't have the stuff right then. she looked at me with wide eyes and said, "see it! see it!"

at that point, i did carry her in there, briefly. to my surprise, she did quite well -- looking but not touching.

her party is tomorrow morning at 10. we've had live ladybugs in our refrigerator for two weeks--- nice! i guess they hibernate in the cold. we're going to have a bug viewer for the kids .. and then they'll get to decorate a small bug box and take a few ladybugs home. there'll be a moonwalk in the backyard for their entertainment.

i'm excited for her :)
