adoption finalization!

thursday afternoon (2/22), we met memaw and pawpaw on the riverwalk. the weather was fantastic and it wasn't too crowded. we went on a boat ride and then out for mexican food. i got serenaded by a mariachi - he played his violin just for me! my moms took turns carrying me around.




friday morning, we waited about an hour and a half before it was our turn to see the judge. during the wait, i was people watching (fighting off my nap) and davis had lunch.




then, about 15 minutes after i finally dozed off, it was our turn to see Judge Nellermoe. she finalized four adoptions in about 15 minutes. my family and friends took up half the courtroom!! everyone was very happy and emotional. mom was trying not to cry while she was answering questions for the judge.









afterwards, we all went to new braunfels. tata and pawpaw griled fish and shrimp for dinner and we had cake to celebrate. it was the BEST day. because it was my special day, they let me skip my morning nap and most of my afternoon nap :-)
