cps matching meeting.

every quarter, cps holds a matching meeting. it gives families an opportunity to look through profiles of children waiting to be adopted. most of the children are on the TARE website; however, there were a few who have not yet been posted on TARE. the meeting was monday night at the cps office off murworth. the majority of the children were outside of our age range but the meeting was a success for us! we got the opportunity to meet the case workers who will one day match us to a child. we introduced ourselves to everyone and passed out our profile sheet. the turnout was pretty small.. we're hoping that's good for us - keeping our fingers crossed that we'll stand out in the case workers' minds.

as mentioned in the previous post, paige is leaving depelchin and is being replaced by two matching specialists. emily has been assigned our primary contact. we met emily through the infant program (private adoption) and really like her, so we're happy about that! monday night, we got an opportunity to talk with her a little more and we also met denita, who will be working on our case for out-of-region kiddos.

we left feeling much more optimistic than after the waiting families meeting last week. we'll see!
