home study

kecia was at the house from 10 - 2, friday, performing our home study. she's extremely nice and on the ball! we talked about pretty much everything from where we went to highschool to our most traumatic childhood experiences to who makes the financial decisions in our parents' relationships. she looked at the house, asked lots of questions, and told us a story about mrs. johnson breaking her leg.

where we go from here:

she's passed on the information that we want an infant - and we should be hearing from someone soon about attending an infant orientation.

we have to mail her copies of our high school diplomas, work references, and an updated picture of the nursery.

she'll finish typing up our home study (making sure we pass!) by this thursday.

next tuesday, april 18, she'll present our case to the board. they'll sign off on it. the fire marshal will be scheduled to come to the house. and then the paperwork will be sent to austin.

once we make it to austin, it could be any day!!
